October 28, 2026 — Aurora Anguilla Resort & Golf Club on Rendezvous Bay has added a five-bedroom beachfront villa, bookable now, and six golf-view suites that open in November 2026.
What is happening
The resort, part of Preferred Hotels & Resorts’ LVX collection, announced the new accommodations on October 28. The headline addition, Trade Winds, sits on Merrywing Beach and is described as “designed for families and larger groups seeking more space and privacy.”
| New unit | Details | Availability and rate |
|---|---|---|
| Trade Winds villa | 5 bedrooms, 9,500+ sq ft on two floors, two private pools plus rooftop plunge pool, private movie theater, golf carts, Lifestyle Concierge | Bookable now; introductory $8,000/night, then $10,000/night from Dec. 20, 2026; no minimum stay |
| Golf View One Bedroom Executive Suites (6) | 1,250 sq ft, one king, full kitchen, sleeps up to three | From November 2026; from $2,100/night; no minimum stay |
The resort has a Greg Norman-designed 18-hole course, Sorana Spa, a 600,000-gallon water park, tennis and pickleball courts.
What it means for airline travelers
- Getting there: Per the resort, American Airlines flies daily from Miami (MIA) to Anguilla’s Clayton J. Lloyd International (AXA). Many visitors instead fly into Princess Juliana (SXM) on St. Maarten and continue by sea shuttle or a roughly 15-minute air charter, which the resort can arrange.
- Allow connection time: If you arrive via SXM, the boat and charter run during daytime hours only, so an evening arrival can mean a night on St. Maarten.
- Who it suits: These are high-end group and family units; the villa makes most sense split among several travelers.
- Industry rates: The announcement did not mention travel-industry or airline-employee rates.
