November 7, 2026 — Hyatt has opened The Mindaro, a 90-room JdV by Hyatt hotel minutes from Portland International Airport (PDX), with round-the-clock airport shuttles, a full-service restaurant and more than 8,000 square feet of event space.
What is happening
Hyatt announced the grand opening on November 6, 2026, saying the hotel “is now open.” The Mindaro is a lifestyle hotel under Hyatt’s JdV by Hyatt brand and is managed by Vesta Hospitality. The owner and developer were not named in the announcement.
The hotel sits on what Hyatt calls The Mindaro Campus, which it shares with the existing Hyatt House Portland Airport (112 rooms, 73 of them kitchen suites).

- H Market — open 24 hours.
- 24-hour fitness center, room service, guest laundry, complimentary Wi-Fi, complimentary grocery shopping, EV charging; dogs welcome (fees apply).

Hyatt did not publish rates in the announcement. General manager Phillip Wilson said the hotel “has a personality all its own.”
What it means for airline travelers
- A real option for PDX overnights. The free 24-hour shuttle makes it practical for late arrivals, early departures and misconnects; Hyatt describes the hotel as “just minutes” from the airport but gave no exact distance.
- Food at any hour. With a restaurant open until 11 p.m. and a 24-hour market, you are not stuck without a meal after a late arrival.
- Two choices on one campus. If The Mindaro is full, the Hyatt House next door offers kitchen suites for longer stays.
- Rates. The announcement says nothing about travel-industry or airline-employee rates; check Hyatt’s industry-rate channels or ask the hotel directly.
