October 1, 2026 — Disney Cruise Line has shared details of Disney Wonder’s August dry dock, a two-week refresh that included more than 100 projects across the ship.
What happened
Disney Wonder spent 14 days in dry dock in Canada in August 2026. Nearly 1,000 crew and cast members worked on the ship. The work included:
- More than 12 miles of new carpet
- A new, more sustainable hull coating
- More than 100 projects throughout the ship
The refit follows similar dry docks for Disney Magic and Disney Fantasy, part of the line’s regular five-year refurbishment cycle. Tracy Wilson, Disney Cruise Line’s senior vice president and general manager of operations, said every upgrade starts by asking how to make the guest experience better.
What it means for airline travelers
- No sailings affected. The work is finished and the ship is back in service, so booked guests don’t need to change anything.
- Family travel tip: Disney sailings are popular during school breaks, when planes are full too. Nonrev families should fly in at least a day ahead and have a backup flight in mind.
- Interline and industry fares: No change to travel-industry rates or eligibility has been announced.
