October 2, 2026 — The former Hotel 55 in Chicago’s River North reopened on October 1, 2026 as The RIVVY, a 297-room member of Marriott’s Tribute Portfolio.

The hotel is at 55 E. Ontario Street, steps from Michigan Avenue and the Chicago Riverwalk. Coury Hospitality manages it; the owner was not named. Hotel Online reports a multi-million-dollar refresh of the public spaces, with new artwork and residential-style furnishings.

The hotel has 8,187 square feet of meeting space across eight rooms, hosting up to 250 guests, plus a fitness center.
