October 4, 2026 — The Grand Bohemian Charleston has been renamed Hotel Operis, with a new rooftop restaurant and a theater-themed redesign. The 50-room hotel remains part of Marriott’s Autograph Collection.
The Post and Courier reports the new name took effect on September 30, 2026. The Arden Room Rooftop Bar & Dining opened the next day. The hotel is at 55 Wentworth Street in Charleston’s historic district.
The name comes from the Latin opus, meaning work, and nods to opera. The hotel is within walking distance of 11 theaters. Xenia Hotels & Resorts owns the property and Davidson Hospitality Group manages it.
