October 5, 2026 — Star Clippers is promoting four seven-night sailings on the French and Italian Rivieras for 2027, all round trip from Nice. Royal Clipper takes the two spring dates and Star Clipper the two in fall.

The tall-ship line’s routes mix Riviera harbors with Corsica, Sardinia and Elba. Fares start at $2,500 per person, double occupancy.

2027 sailings from Nice

Departs Ship Itinerary Ports From (pp, double)
April 24, 2027 Royal Clipper Corsica & French Riviera Portofino, Propriano, Calvi, Alghero, Sanary-sur-Mer, St. Tropez $2,660
May 1, 2027 Royal Clipper Ligurian Sea Porto Venere, Portoferraio, Bonifacio, Alghero, Ajaccio, Menton $2,660
October 2, 2027 Star Clipper Ligurian Sea Porto Venere, Elba, Bonifacio, Alghero, Porticcio Beach, Ajaccio, Monaco $2,500
October 9, 2027 Star Clipper Corsica & French Riviera Portofino, Calvi, L’Île-Rousse, Ajaccio, Sanary-sur-Mer, St. Tropez $2,500

The spring and fall pairs run on consecutive Saturdays, so the two routes on each ship can be combined back to back.

What it means for airline travelers

  • Airport: Nice Côte d’Azur (NCE) is close to the port, and every sailing starts and ends there, so one round-trip listing covers the whole trip.
  • Shoulder-season dates help standby odds. Late April, early May and October sit outside the peak summer rush to the Riviera, though loads on transatlantic flights can still be tight.
  • Fly in a day early. These are small sailing ships with one departure a week. Miss the ship and the next chance to join is a port call down the coast.
  • Interline rates: The announcement lists public fares only. Ask your interline agency whether industry pricing applies to these dates.
