October 9, 2026 — Azamara Cruises has launched eight golf cruises for 2027 and 2028 with Premier Golf, the official golf travel partner of the PGA of America. The first sails from the Pacific Coast on May 17, 2027.
The cruises run on all four Azamara ships, TravelPulse reported on October 8. Golfers play three to five rounds depending on the sailing. Packages include golf transfers, carts or caddies where they apply, lunch at each course, and welcome and farewell events.

Prices and packages
- Golf package: $2,050 to $6,995 per golfer, on top of the cruise fare. Inclusions vary by sailing.
- Classic Collection: traditional links courses for keen golfers, some walking-only.
- Leisure Collection: cart-friendly courses for casual players and mixed groups.
- Both collections: offered on the Ireland, Scotland, British Isles and Northern Europe cruises. The other four offer one each.
- Named courses: Royal Portrush, Torrey Pines South and Cape Kidnappers. The British Isles cruise adds a Sunday walking tour of the Old Course at St Andrews.
- Add-ons: five pre- and post-cruise golf stays, including Torrey Pines in California, Sentosa Golf Club in Singapore and Te Arai in New Zealand.
CEO Dondra Ritzenthaler said golf and travel “are both driven by a sense of passion and discovery.” Travel advisors earn 10 percent commission on the golf packages and land add-ons.
What it means for airline travelers
- Clubs and standby do not mix well. A misconnected golf bag can miss the ship. Fly in at least two days early on the long-haul sailings, or ship your clubs ahead.
- Check your pass-travel baggage rules. Sports equipment allowances for non-revenue travelers differ by airline.
- Peak seasons: the British Isles cruise overlaps The Open and August holidays, when transatlantic standby is hardest.
- Budget for two prices. The golf package is separate from the fare, so an interline cruise rate would not reduce it.
- Interline rates: the announcement mentions advisor commission only. Travel-industry fares on these sailings: TBA.
