October 14, 2026 — Carnival Cruise Line has added two adults-only sailings for 2027, one from Tampa and one from Galveston. The line has also repainted Carnival Venezia’s funnel in traditional Carnival colors.

Two more adults-only cruises

Brand Ambassador John Heald announced the two sailings, which are part of Carnival’s 21-and-over program that started in early 2025 and focuses on casino play, themed parties and bingo.

Carnival Venezia’s new funnel

Carnival Venezia was built for Costa Cruises in 2019 and has sailed for Carnival since 2023 with Costa’s funnel colors. Its funnel now carries the traditional Carnival colors. Carnival gave no reason for the change and has not announced any change to the ship’s “Carnival Fun Italian Style” concept. Having just finished a summer in Bermuda, the ship is starting a winter season from Port Canaveral with 7- to 14-night Caribbean and Bahamas cruises, including Aruba and Bonaire. After mid-May it moves to year-round sailings from Miami.

What it means for airline travelers

  • Tampa sailings are served by Tampa International (TPA). For Galveston, most travelers fly into Houston Hobby (HOU) or Houston Bush Intercontinental (IAH) and then drive to the port, so arrive the day before.
  • Mid-February and mid-May are busy flying periods. If you are on standby for the February 12 Tampa sailing, plan to arrive at least a day early.
  • Carnival Venezia’s Port Canaveral sailings are best reached through Orlando (MCO). Its change to Miami after mid-May opens up MIA and FLL.
  • No travel-industry or interline rate changes were mentioned.
