What it means for airline travelers
- Liverpool is a new option for the crossing. If you are coming from North America, compare flights into Manchester (MAN) or Liverpool (LPL) with the usual London airports for Southampton. Exact sailing dates are TBA, so wait for them before booking flights.
- A transatlantic crossing is one-way unless you take the round trip, so you will need a flight on one end. One-way travel works well on standby, but Europe-bound flights can be full in peak periods; leave a buffer day before embarkation.
- Queen Elizabeth’s Caribbean season and the Queen Anne South America option use Miami, which has many nonstop flights from across the U.S. and Europe.
- Cunard did not mention travel-industry or interline rates for this release.
