November 2, 2026 — Impression Isla Mujeres, the adults-only, all-inclusive resort off the coast of Cancún that opened as Impression by Secrets in 2023, has joined The Unbound Collection by Hyatt. It stays adults-only and all-inclusive.

What is happening

Hyatt announced on November 2, 2026 that the resort has moved into The Unbound Collection, Hyatt’s group of independent-style luxury hotels. It had opened in May 2023 under the Impression by Secrets brand, part of Hyatt’s all-inclusive portfolio. Hyatt says it “will continue to operate as an adults-only, all-inclusive resort.” The release gives no separate effective date and does not name the owner.

What it means for airline travelers

  • Getting there: fly into Cancún International (CUN). Tour-operator listings from WestJet Vacations and Air Canada Vacations say guests go by road to Marina Hacienda del Mar in Puerto Juárez, then by catamaran to the island. Air Canada Vacations puts the resort about 40 km from the airport.
  • Watch the last boat: Air Canada Vacations says the resort’s catamaran runs hourly from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. and advises landing by 4 p.m. WestJet Vacations says boat transfers should be booked at least 48 hours before arrival. If you are on standby, aim for an early flight into CUN so a missed flight does not leave you on the mainland overnight.
  • No disruption expected: this is a brand change, not a renovation. Hyatt does not mention any closure or construction.
  • Existing bookings: Hyatt’s release does not say whether existing reservations or booking channels change. If you booked under the old Impression by Secrets name, confirm your reservation with Hyatt or your tour operator.
  • Industry rates: the release does not mention travel-industry or airline-employee rates. Check Hyatt’s employee or industry rate channels before you book.
  • Booking: Hyatt points guests to hyatt.com to book.
