October 6, 2026 — Waldorf Astoria Kuala Lumpur opens on October 30, 2026, and Hilton has now detailed its spa and fitness floors. Reservations are already open.
The hotel is at 73 Jalan Raja Chulan in the city’s Golden Triangle, near the Petronas Twin Towers, Bukit Bintang and Pavilion Kuala Lumpur. It is Waldorf Astoria’s first hotel in Malaysia.
Hilton’s reservations announcement describes an all-suite hotel with 268 suites, from 80 square meters for a one-bedroom to 745 square meters for the Waldorf Astoria Suite. Hospitality Net’s listing for the hotel shows 279 rooms. We could not reconcile the two figures.
The wellness floors
- Waldorf Astoria Spa covers more than 2,275 square meters on two floors.
- Seven treatment rooms, with treatments by Swiss skincare brand La Prairie.
- Herbal steam rooms, mineral salt saunas, vitality pools, hydrotherapy baths and an Oriental hammam.
- A Technogym studio with a cryotherapy chamber, an anti-gravity treadmill and virtual-reality training.
- A 20-meter pool, an outdoor yoga pavilion, a barbershop and a salon.
General manager Etienne Dalançon said luxury travelers want “experiences that help them feel better, perform better and live better.”
Dining
La Revue des Hôtels lists seven venues. Chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten is behind JG KL, abc kitchens KL and The Bar by JG. Chef Garima Arora leads Yaari, an Indian restaurant. Istana serves Malaysian royal cuisine, and Peacock Alley serves afternoon tea.

What it means for airline travelers
- Bookings are open now for stays from October 30. Book a cancellable rate if you are flying standby.
- Hilton Honors applies. The opening package adds 15,000 bonus points on stays of two nights or more.
- Central location. The Golden Triangle address puts the main shopping and dining districts close by. Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KUL) is the city’s main gateway; the sources do not give a transfer time.
- New-hotel caution. If the spa or a specific restaurant matters to you, confirm it is open before an early stay.
- Industry rates: none were published.
