October 8, 2026 — Dolly Parton’s SongTeller Hotel is officially open in downtown Nashville. The ribbon was cut on October 6, 2026, six weeks after the singer’s death on August 25.
The 11-story hotel stands at 211 Commerce Street, just north of Lower Broadway. Most reports put it at 245 rooms and suites; one says 240. Room types run from Signature Rooms to Six Sisters Suites, which sleep six. Parton built the hotel with Herschend, her longtime partner in Dollywood.
Two live-music rooms anchor the building. Parton’s Live hosts songwriter sessions and showcases, and Jolene’s is on the top floor. Both serve shareable plates and cocktails and are open to the public. There is also a SongTeller Cafe.
The third floor holds Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum, a 20,000-square-foot walk through her life. It has its own entrance at 126 3rd Avenue North and sells tickets to non-guests. Local reports say popular time slots are already selling out.
Nashvegas.com reports that the first overnight guests checked in on September 29, a week before the ceremony. Parton’s creative director, Steven Kent, told NBC News that guests will “feel Dolly’s love.” Room rates have not been published in the coverage we reviewed.

What it means for airline travelers
- Fly into Nashville International (BNA). The airport board voted in September to begin renaming it for Parton, so expect the name on your boarding pass to change at some point.
- Book the museum with the room. Timed tickets are selling out on busy dates. Standby travelers should buy a refundable or changeable slot where one is offered.
- Expect some construction noise. The hotel’s own website says work is still finishing in parts of the building.
- No airline-employee rate has been published. The hotel is independent, so there is no chain travel-industry program to lean on. Call reservations at 1-877-766-4835 and ask.
- You do not need a room to visit. The museum and both music venues are open to the public, which suits a long Nashville layover.
