NASHVILLE, Tennessee, October 14, 2026 — Nashville International Airport (BNA) will close the entrance to Terminal Garage 1 on October 20 as part of its ongoing construction. Drivers will use the Terminal Garage 2 entrance instead.

What is changing

  • Closure date: The Garage 1 entrance closes October 20. End date: TBA.
  • New route in: Drivers pass the closed Garage 1 entrance and continue to the Garage 2 entrance. They take a ticket there, then park in Garage 2 or drive on into Garage 1.
  • Why: The work is part of BNA’s $40 million Central Core Enhancement project, which is expected to run through December 2027.
  • Walking in: The Level 5 pedestrian bridge is already closed. Garage users are being directed to enter the terminal on Level 1.
  • Employee parking: The report does not mention any change to employee parking.

What it means for non-revs

  • Allow extra time to park from October 20, especially at busy times. The new traffic pattern may cause backups.
  • Follow the signs to the Garage 2 entrance even if you plan to park in Garage 1.
  • Use the Level 1 entrance to the terminal, since the Level 5 bridge is closed.
