October 27, 2026 — Greek-based Celestyal Cruises is warning guests about fake emails that pose as the cruise line and ask people to verify their bookings and hand over payment card details.

What happened

In a warning posted on its Facebook page on October 26, Celestyal said it never asks guests to verify a booking or give card details through an unsolicited email link. Anyone who receives such an email should not click any links, share personal or payment information, or reply. The line said it is investigating the reports as a priority with its technology teams and service providers.

Cruise Critic notes that Norwegian Cruise Line reported a similar fraudulent email campaign earlier this month.

What it means for airline travelers

  • If you have a Celestyal booking, check its status only by logging in through the cruise line’s own website or calling your travel agent, not through a link in an email.
  • Be wary of any message tied to a cruise that also asks you to “confirm” flights or transfers; scammers often bundle travel details to look legitimate.
  • If you have already entered card details, contact your card issuer right away.
  • No change to travel-industry or interline rates was mentioned.
