DAYTON, Ohio, Nov. 7, 2026 — Pilots at PSA Airlines, American Airlines’ wholly owned regional, have secured a two-year contract extension that runs to April 1, 2030, with three rounds of pay increases.
The deal
- ALPA represents about 2,260 PSA pilots. Union leaders approved the agreement, which ALPA announced this week.
- The amendable date moves from April 1, 2028 (set by a 2022 extension) to April 1, 2030.
- Current pay rates stay in place until June 1, 2027, when the first raise takes effect. Further increases follow on June 1, 2028, and June 1, 2029.
- The deal also changes scheduling and work rules. The size of the raises and the details of the rule changes have not been published (TBA).
- Whether a membership ratification vote will be held: TBA.
- PSA MEC chair Capt. Chris Sabia said: “Protect our pay. This agreement does that.”
What it means for non-revs
- Labor peace with PSA’s pilots through 2030 removes one source of disruption risk on the American Eagle flights PSA operates.
- No changes to pass travel or jumpseat rules were mentioned.
- Better regional pay can help pilot retention, which supports a steadier regional schedule and more reliable seats for standby travelers on Eagle routes.
