Desembocadura Río Herrera (Herreras, Río Grande, Puerto Rico)

October 3, 2026 — Four Seasons Resort and Residences Puerto Rico is adding two restaurants this fall: Perla, a supper club opening October 19, 2026, and Ocean Terrace, an all-day Mediterranean restaurant due in early November 2026.

The resort is in Río Grande on Puerto Rico’s northeastern coast, on a 483-acre site at Bahía Beach. It opened in November 2025 and has 147 rooms and residences.

Perla will serve seafood and prime cuts with tableside service, including a Champagne, martini and caviar cart. The menu lists dressed oysters, hamachi with guanábana ponzu, Chilean sea bass, whole Dover sole and a tomahawk steak.

Ocean Terrace will sit by the pool and shoreline and serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. Expect pizzas, house-made pasta, charred octopus and mussels al limone, plus regular brunch events. Executive chef Victor Rosado leads both kitchens.

The lobby bar, formerly El Bembé, has also been renamed Palm Court. It keeps its Puerto Rican and Latin-inspired cocktails, light bites and live music. General manager Pablo Molinari called the openings “an exciting milestone in the continued evolution of our resort.”

What it means for airline travelers

  • No passport needed for U.S. citizens. Puerto Rico is a U.S. territory, which makes it an easy standby trip from the mainland. The resort is on the northeastern coast, so plan a drive from San Juan.
  • Time your stay to the dining dates. Stay after October 19 for Perla. Ocean Terrace has only an “early November” target, so confirm it is open if it matters to you.
  • The resort stays open. The sources describe new venues, not a closure. Hours and prices for the new restaurants were not published.
  • Industry rates: none were published.
