October 6, 2026 — Marriott International has signed a deal with Dutch operator Townhouse Hotels to bring eight hotels and 719 rooms in the Netherlands into its system. Six will join Series by Marriott, the brand’s first hotels in the country. Two will join Tribute Portfolio.
Marriott announced the agreement on October 5. It did not say when the hotels will switch over or start appearing in Marriott Bonvoy, so the dates are TBA.
The deal takes Marriott into Maastricht and Eindhoven for the first time and adds hotels in Amsterdam, The Hague and Breda. Jerome Briet, Marriott’s development chief for the region, called it “a significant milestone for Marriott International in the Netherlands.”

What it means for airline travelers
- More Bonvoy choices beyond Amsterdam. Maastricht and Eindhoven will get their first Marriott-affiliated hotels, and The Hague and Breda gain options.
- Do not count on points yet. No switch date is published. Until a hotel shows up in Marriott’s booking channels, a stay there will not earn or redeem Bonvoy points.
- Small hotels. Most have fewer than 100 rooms, so they can fill up around events and holidays.
- Getting there: Amsterdam Schiphol (AMS) is the country’s main international airport. The sources do not give transfer times to any of the hotels.
- Industry rates: the announcement did not mention airline-employee or travel-industry rates.
