October 24, 2026 — Crystal (owned by A&K Travel Group) has sent Crystal Serenity into a three-week drydock at the Lisnave shipyard in Setúbal, Portugal. Guests return on November 9, 2026.

What is changing on board

  • A new pool bar on Deck 12, plus updates to the Seahorse Pool.
  • Atrium and Crystal Cove reworked with more seating, a new marble dance floor, a live-music stage and a De Castelli mosaic.
  • Refreshed Waterside Restaurant, Stardust Club and Marketplace.
  • Aquamarine Classic Suites on Deck 10: living areas and bathrooms fully refitted, keeping the current layout.
  • Technical work: propulsion, hull cleaning and repainting, and electrical and automation upgrades.
Item Detail
Drydock Lisnave, Setúbal, Portugal — about three weeks (exact start and end dates TBA)
Return to service November 9, 2026
First sailing 15-night repositioning, Lisbon to Fort Lauderdale, departing November 9, 2026
Calls Portugal, Antigua, British Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico

What it means for airline travelers

  • The November 9 voyage is one-way: you fly into Lisbon (LIS) and home from Fort Lauderdale (FLL) or nearby Miami (MIA). Book or plan the two legs separately.
  • Transatlantic standby loads into Lisbon can be tight. Plan to arrive at least a day or two early, since the ship is coming straight out of the shipyard and will not wait.
  • Florida has many flights home, so the end of the trip is the easier half to fly standby.
  • No travel-industry or interline rates were mentioned.
