October 28, 2026 — Disney Cruise Line’s Singapore-based ship gets its own documentary: Disney Adventure: Charting a New Course premieres November 28, 2026 on Disney+, National Geographic and JioHotstar.
What’s coming
- The film follows Disney Adventure, which made its maiden voyage in March 2026.
- The ship began life as Genting Hong Kong’s Global Dream, ordered in 2016. Disney bought the unfinished vessel in 2022, after Genting collapsed, and refitted it to its own design.
- Disney Adventure sails three- and four-night cruises from Singapore that include sea days. From December, it adds Langkawi, Malaysia as its first port of call.
- Disney is also adding a Duffy & Friends character breakfast aboard; the ship already has a Duffy and Friends shop and a show called Duffy and the Friend Ship.
What it means for airline travelers
- Singapore is the homeport. Fly into Singapore Changi (SIN). Short three- and four-night sailings fit a long weekend, but long-haul flights into Asia can fill up, so arrive at least a day before sailing — especially if flying standby.
- Langkawi from December: check your sailing’s itinerary; once a port call is added, carry the travel documents Malaysia requires.
- No travel-industry or interline rates were mentioned.
