November 7, 2026 — Hilton’s planned Waldorf Astoria Turks and Caicos Dellis Cay, a 62-key private-island resort, is now projected to open in 2030, two years later than the 2028 target Hilton gave in April 2025.

What is happening

Caribbean Journal reported on November 6 that Hilton’s latest Caribbean development update lists the Dellis Cay resort for 2030. Hilton has given an expected opening year, with a specific opening date “still to come.” Construction start and completion dates were not published (TBA).

Detail Waldorf Astoria Turks and Caicos Dellis Cay
Brand / parent Waldorf Astoria / Hilton
Location Dellis Cay, Turks and Caicos; about 25 minutes by boat from Providenciales
Previous target 2028 (announced April 2025)
New target 2030; exact date TBA
Rooms 62 rooms and suites, including 10 beachfront bungalows with plunge pools

Planned features

  • More than three miles of beachfront on a private island.
  • An all-day restaurant, a specialty restaurant, a beach and pool bar and grill, and Waldorf Astoria’s signature Peacock Alley.
  • Separate adult and family pools, a 13,455 sq ft spa, fitness center, library and retail space.
  • A residential component with condominiums, beach villas and ocean villas.

Caribbean Journal also noted that AMARIS Grace Bay Turks and Caicos, an LXR Hotels & Resorts project, is likewise now projected for 2030.

What it means for airline travelers

  • Not a near-term booking. There is nothing to book yet, and the target has already moved once; treat 2030 as provisional.
  • Getting there. Access will be through Providenciales, home to the Turks and Caicos’ main international airport (PLS), then a roughly 25-minute boat ride. Plan for a boat connection on arrival and departure days rather than a quick airport run.
  • Rates. Nothing has been published on pricing or on travel-industry or airline-employee rates.
