October 9, 2026 — Four Seasons will open a resort in Tangier, Morocco. The company announced Four Seasons Resort Tangier on October 8. It has not given an opening date.

The resort will stand on a clifftop in the Cap Malabata district, looking across the Strait of Gibraltar. It will have 99 rooms and suites, 27 of them standalone villas. The developer is Royal Resort Cap Malabata, a development company backed by GFH.

It will be the fourth Four Seasons in Morocco, after Casablanca, Marrakech and Rabat.

What is planned

  • More than 260 metres (850 feet) of waterfront, with a pool and waterfront lounging.
  • Four restaurants and bars.
  • A full spa and fitness centre.
  • The Kids For All Seasons children’s programme.
  • Indoor and outdoor event space.
  • Architecture by Arjitec and interiors by Goddard Littlefair.

What it means for airline travelers

  • Tangier Ibn Battouta (TNG) is the airport. Four Seasons puts it about 45 minutes from the resort.
  • Rail is an option. The high-speed train station is about 15 minutes away, which helps if you fly into another Moroccan city.
  • This is a long-range item. There is no opening date and nothing to book. Do not plan a trip around it yet.
  • Morocco now: Four Seasons already runs hotels in Casablanca, Marrakech and Rabat.
  • Industry rates: the announcement says nothing about airline-employee or travel-industry pricing.
